Venice. A guide
| Discovering Venice |
|
Venice is the largest old town in the world. There are no cars, except the island of Lido, Sant'Erasmo and Pellestrina. You can buy the Venice Card, which allows you to use public transportation and visit churches and museums at really special prices. A good way to discover unusual itineraries is to get lost in the city. Another way to discover Venice, is by using the waterbuses: lines 41 and 42 will take you all around the city. A ride in a gondola is, of course, a unique experience. A funny experience is trying a ride in "the gondola traghetto", which will take you from the one part of the Grand Canal to another at a low cost. |
